[January 17th, 2006] BellSouth connectivity
and email issues
BellSouth has been experiencing temporary
issues from time to time that are resulting in longer
(slower) loading times for web pages and email delivery.
These causes are beyond our control for those customers
affected and we invite you to call BellSouth to let
them know you are experiencing these issues.
[Oct 18, 2004] Network Problems Affecting
Multiple Web Sites
- ( 1:11 P.M.) Network Problem Resolved: Level 3 has reported
that they have resolved the routing problems
they were experiencing. The problem was traced
to a faulty device in the Washington D.C. area,
which they have replaced.
- (12:00 P.M.) Network Problem Cause
Identified: We have received confirmation
that Level 3 is having an IP routing problem
throughout the eastern coast of the United States.
The result is that many web servers are affected
while many others may not be at all (mainly
dependent upon the geographical location of
the servers). Level 3 engineers are working
to correct the problem as quickly as possible
-- we have received many reports from customers
that their connectivity problems seem resolved.
- (11:48 AM) Network Problem: We
noticed intermittent difficulty reaching many
of our customer web sites this morning affecting
multiple accounts on different web servers.
Initial investigation indicates that the problem
appears to be resulting from congestion in the
Level 3 network, although our investigation
is still ongoing.
